The Tauranga Murder
* [ PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. ) Taukanga, February 15. Mrs Munro, the fourth victim of the tragedy last week, died last night. Another inquest is being held. The last suryiyor, the little boy, bids fair to recoyer from his terrible injuries. Auckland, This Day. Further particulars of the death of Mrs Munro state that she never regained consciousness. On Saturday she had an attack of convulsions and tore all the bandages off her head exhibiting wonderful strength for her state. The doctors had her two wrists tied together with a linen bandage to prevent Buch a thing occurring, but the nurse had loosened the bandage and in her convulsive efforts she broke the fastening and instinctively put her hand to her head tearing the bandages off. She eventually passed away comparatively peaceful. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon and was a most affecting one. The inquest concluded yesterday. The jury after a quarter of an hour's deliberation returning a yerdict of wilful murder against Munro. The following rider was added " the jury are of opinion the Government should cause searching enquiry to be made as to how Munro came from the Auckland Asylum there being no evidence to show that he was discharged through any petition or the application of his friends.
