Messrs Lowes and lorns report a snc- - eessfnl sale, at their Masterton yards onWednesday. The entries comprised 7000 sheep of all classes, which sold freely /trader; the/ hammer at fully last sale's prices. There ■ was a small entry of cattle, and these sold, freely. Horse 3 were as usual. ' We quote :— Fat wethers, fretm v l2/f to 12/9 ;• fat ewes, 10/2'% 12/- ; for extra heavy fat store weth6rs, 10/5 to 11/7 ; two-tooth ewes (good sort), 12/- to 18/8 ; strong cross-bred ewes, 9/- to 9/11 ; a line df 6-tooth ewes (small) averaged 11/3 ;' ordinary breeding ewes (newly weaned from lambs), 6/- to 8/-; lambs, in gbod demand (fat), 8/3 ; woolly lambs, 6/7 to 9/-^ weedy lambs, 4/- ;^ old ewes, .'4/» to 5/6 ; Merino crocks,: 2/9 ; beef (medium^ £5 2s 6d and ss ; ,18-months (mixed), 42/- ; small calves, 21/- ; dairy cows, £4 17s 6a to £5 2s 6d ; hacks, £6 tO £1 10 Si ;
