She reported that the captain had died on the 11th NoTGmber from yellow fovpr, and that several of the crew had also suffered but were recovering. Robert Higman, Salvation Army Cap* tain, was drowned to-day at Port Chalmers baths while bathing. Robert Hepburn his companion tried to save him, but failed. Higman was 33 years of age. He leaves a widow and three children.
