Band playing ; flags flying ; good fellowship everywhere ; our ■ business houses were all decked in holiday attire outside, and inside was seen their choicest goods and most engaging smiles. Christmas day arose in unclouded splendour. The church hell rang out a reminder to the faithful and to the unheeding that another anniversary of the day when "good will to men" was ushered in, had come. Boxing dav — high holiday— station full— obliged to send cattle trucks with train, such a crowd from Woodville goes to Falmerston.
