«», ARTESIAN WATER.
to>the;bditor op the staji. Sib, — Two years since there was con* siderable discussion in your paper in reference to sinking for a supply of artesian water, and I suppose " Aquarius " must then have had the best of the argument as no action, as far as Feilding is concerned, has been taken in the matter, but passing events since then have proved " Aquarius " to be in error, for along the Kangitikei line, Gampbelltown, and all over that district,^ efforts , have u.beeii crowned with success in getting a plentiful supply .of artesian water'; the last being that on Me Sanson's property. -I think it is apparent to all that before long a .water supply, of some sort, must be procured, and as this is the cheapest method, if successful, of getting a neverfailing supply, I think it is time some action should be taken in the matter. No. doubt the "if successful " is the^great stumbling block," but then if they have artesian water in the aforesaid districts why not here ? I think it is worth trying for. Hoping some more able pen than mine will take the matter up,' and with your support, will bring the matter to a successfttUissue. ■; : I am, &c s ' CoBNUBIA.
