Wellington, This Day. The Aorangi arrived from London at 5.80 this morning. She left Plymouth on October 17th ; Teneriffe, 23rd ; Capetown, 27th ; and Hobarfc at 7 p.m. on Thursday last. The voyage was uneventful, with moderate weather to Hobart, thence to Cape Farewell with a strong northerly wind with heavy rain. She has 152 passengers for New Zealand ports, and brings 236 bags and 2 packages mails and 30 boxes parcels post. It is not intended to fill up the late Mr Lewis' position us Under-Secretory of the Native Department. Auckland, This Day. Arrived — Government steamer Hinemoa from the Kermedec Group. Captain Fairchild reports finding the depots of provisions on all the island? intact with the .exception of Curtis' Island, where the building fand stores were destroyed by volcanic action. Several settlers returned by the steamer from Sunday Island, being disgusted with the prospects of settlement, but Messrs Uarver, Bell, and family still remain, making a fair living.
