Tho Secretary of the Kiwitea Eoad Board gives notice to~day that a meeting of tbe ratepayers in the Ongo Ward will be held on Saturday next to discuss the loan proposals, in Mr Shannon's whare, Waitapu. A poll will bo taken on Thurs : day tho 19th inst. For other particulars see advertisement which is published elsewhere. Mr William Macmillnn, of Awahuri and Pulmerston North, fellmonger, desires to contradict a report which lias been circulated to tho effect that he had sold out oF his Awahuri business. This is not correct, because Mr Macmiilan still carries on the Awahuri business, notwithstanding that he has a branch at Palnierston North. .Mr Wm Trimble is his Feilding Agent.~ADVT.
