It will interest members of the Manchester Eifles, and other yolnuteers who think of attending the Military Tournament at Wellington, to know that the. JGxecuhyo have made arrangements with the Manawatu Eailway Company to carry Volunteers at the following rates for the double journey : — Officers, Bs, men, 6s, horses, Bs. These low charges will only be allowed to men in uniform. Nominations for intending competitors in the tournament close on the 17th instant. The Wellington people have subscribed sufficient funds to put the new rifle range in good working order. The resignation of Captain Pleasants, has been gazetted. Date of resignation 24th Sept. 1891. Major Newall will inspect the Manchester Tlifles on the loth instant,
