+ SHOET WEIGHT IN BEEAD. TO THE EDITOR OP THE STAB. Sir, — On seeing recently in the Wellington papers that certain bakers had been selling short weight bread, I was induced to try the weight of three 21b loaves that happened to be on hand, and found that the lightest was an ounce, the next 1^ ounces, and the third 2 ounces short. Now; as 1 have a large family ani consume a good many of these loaves every week, if this sort of thing has fceen going on during thejpast year, I must have been defrauded of a conaiderable sum. I intend to try each loaf in future, and if the same practice continues more will be heard about it. — I am, &c, ! Pater Familias.
