Shares— Union Steam Ship Company, £19 10s. New Zealand wheat, ofi coast cargoes 425 ; buyers offer 41s 6d. The American visible supply of wheat is 24,900,000 bushels. : Wheat has advanced 6d per quarter. 1 Sydney, September 1, The following are the current quota* tions for the principal silver mining shares :— Proprietary, £9 5s ; British, £1 16s ; Central, £6 17s 6d ; South, £4 15s 6d ; Block 14, £6 ss ; Junctions, £1 : The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) hare received the following cable message from their London office, dated 29th ult. : — Wool. — The sales progress firmly, but there is a much irregularity in the bidding. There is now moderate competition on German account. The total quantity catalogued to date is 250,000 bales. The total quantity withdrawn to date is 33,000 bales.
