' liTho ordinary monthly- meeting of the Wellington Land Board was held on Thiursday last. Present— Messrs J. H. Baker (Commissioner, in the chair), W.W. McGardle, W. A. Fitzherbert, D. H. Macarthur, M.H.8., and A. W. jHdgg; MiHTt. ; f The following applications to transfer were approved :— Section 21, Block 111., Apiti, T. Duckering to A. Avery'; section 105 and 106, Block 1., Mangaone, J. B. Musworth to W. Twentymay ; section 15; Block IV., Pohangina, J. Molen and F. Arbor to J. Molen, junior ; sec* tion 20, Block Vll., Apiti, W. Brandt to J. and W. J. Pawson ; section 25, Block X,, Apiti, B, P. Williams to W. J. Shaw ; section 65, Block XI., Ongp, H. Hickfprd to Y. A. Densham ; section 125, Block I, Mangaone, J. H. Boss to W. A. Mowbray; section 10, Block XIV., Pohangina, F. Shade to P. Kerringan. :' The following application to transfer were refused, as the conditions of the Land Board had not been complied with : —section 134, Block X, Mangaone, G. B. Franklin ; section 95, Block VI, Mangaone, J. G. Watts ; section 6, Block XIV, Pobangins, E. Potts ; section 36, Block XIII, Apiti, E. Jones ; section 30, Block XIII, Apiti, W. Diffeyj section 71. Block IX. Mangaone, H. T. Savage. M. U. King, applied to transfer section 16, Block VIII, Ongo, to himself and C L. Anderson. The Board decided to grant the request, provided Anderson was eligible. Mr U. B. Yogel appeared on behalf of A. Clayton with reference to section 25, Blocks VI and VII, Hautapu, and applied that he be allowed to surrender his license, and the land be offered in the ordinary way. It was resolved to obtain a report on the improvements effected before dealing with the matter. On the motion of Mr Macarthnr, seconded by Mr McCardle, the following resolution was carried :— That in the event of any selector applying to complete his payment and Obtained his title lefore capitalisation had taken place he be informed that by capitalising the unpaid instalments he will be able to reduce the amount to be paid to complete the title. The following application to capitalise was approved :— Section 4; Block 111., Mangaoue, J. C. Williamson. It Was resolved to cancel the interest of the selectors in the following sections, as they refused to sigh their leases :— J. Higham, section 5, block XV., Apiti. and section 6, block 11., Pohangina ; J. H. Ashworth and G. Cowan, section 3. block VI., Pohangina ; J. Call, section 2, block 11, Gorge. The Snrveyor-'General wrote inform* ing the Board that lands held on village settlement deferred payment conditions aro subject to section 126 of the Land Act 1885, as to capitalization.
