Thomas Sibbin, printer, a well- - known footballer, while playing for the Rovers, got a fracture of the spine. He accidentally tripped over a player who was dribbling the ball, and doubled his head under his breast. He was admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state, and died shortly afterwards. He leaves a wife and several children. He was a son •of Mr George Sibbin, auctioneer. The game was played under Association rules.
