He cons tested the Te Aroha seat.
The Bruce (Dunedin) County Council on Tuesday passed a lesolution of sympathy with Mr Bryce. ]t is understood tuat the Opposition has resolved to ten.ier to Mr Bryce on .Saturday evening a banquet by way of r'xliibitins to that gentleman and tlie Colony his party's sjrnp thy with him in the unfortunate positicin in which he now stands. Messrs Lzur.i. Hislop, and Bruce, will be present as iuvxted guests,
