A meeting- of the above was held in. , Donnelly's on Saturday evening last, August 29, when the following delegates were present: — Messrs Jewell and Gay, ! Correspondence was read from" the Wairarapa and TaranaJd Bugby Unions, re representative matches; also, from the ' Feilding football Club,, re the disqualification of a Feilding played at an (alleged) irregular meeting of the Union. Mr Jewell objected to- re-opening the question of the prqtest against Feilding: and proposed, That the matter of the protest between Feilding and Palmerston be allowed to remain as decided at the last> meeting of the Union. Mr Jackson sec-, onded this motion. Mr Strachan proposed, as an amend-- - ment, and Mr Bennett seconded, That as.- ' the viee-Presidenta voted on the matter* • which was not according to the rules laid: ' down for- the Management Committee,, ' the question be re-opened and settled \>y the Management Committee. Mr Jackson maintained that the matter was settled by the Managing Committee* •' and that if the vice-presidents* voles .were • disallowed it would not effect the resolution in question. The Chai.-maa ruled that as a vicePresident seconded the amendment, if his name was omitted it would not h .ye existed and the matter would still be open., . On the amendment being put it waa carried by 5 to 4. , Mr Strachan proposed, and Mr Saywell seconded, That the Senior Cup match - between Palmerston and Feilding, played on August 1, be awarded to Feilding. Mr Jew«D proposed, as: an amendment* and Mr Jackson seconded, That the. Senior match between Feilding and Palmerston, played at Palmerrston on August 1, be declared null and void, and be played again, on the grounds that Gregory, a Feilding player, did not comply with the residential clause of the rules and was not eligible to play. After discussion;' during which Mr Strachan refered to and refuted the- ' charges of sharp practice against the " Feilding Club, with reference to playingGregory, the amendment was put, and lost by 4to 5. The motion was then put and carried by 5 to 4. /■ Mr Guy here left the meeting.. Mr Strachan proposed, and Mr Saywell' seconded, That the tie between Palmers ton and Feilding for the Senior Cup be played off at Feilding on a date to be feed by the Secretaries of thednbs — Carried.
