j The monthly meeting of the Landf Board was held on Thursday last Present — Messrs. J. H. Baker (Commissioner, m the chair), W. A. Fitzherbert, W. W. M'Cardle, D. H. Macarthur, M.H.R , apd A. W. Hogg, M.H.R. The following applications for titles were approved : — T. H. Wishart, section 26, block 13, Apiti ; A H. Tompkins, section 88, block 14. Apiti ; G. H. Scales, sections 118 and 119, block 1, Mangaone ; A. Burling, section 12, block 10, Man gaone ; M. Lick Ford, sections 1475 and 1476, Bnnnythorpe. The following application for title was not approved: — A. Burling, section 20, block 11, Mangaone. The following application to ; transfer was approved: — Section 16, Mock 10, Apiti, E. Palmer to A. M'Beth. On the motion of Mr Macarthur, seconded by Mr McGardle, it was decided- to. grant the transfer of sections 1, 3, and 10, block 15, Ongo, from H. and E. Jolly to E. Shannon. Dr. J. D. Tripe wrote with reference to the improvements effected on his section, 43, block 7, Apiti. MrC. Iz«ird appeared on behalf of Dr. i Tripe, and it was resolved that a report should be , obtained from the Ranger with a view to see if a transfer can be effected. It was resolved to offer the Otanoho Block for sale on the special settlement system at an upset annual rental. Leave was giyen to F. Pope to capitalise the unpaid instalments on sec* tion 63, block 9, Pohangina. Mr. A. Rise explained the reason he had not effected improvements on section 44, block 7. Apiti, and it was resolved to giye him time to effect the same, Tbe Kiwitea .Road Board applied to devote accrued thirds from certain sections in blocks 3, 4, and 9, Apiti, to pay mi crest on a loan raised under the Lo-ns to Local Bodies Act. It was decided to ask for a plan showing the work to be done.
