Another Harbour Tragedy

(PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Welmk»ton, August 26. The body of a man named B. Matheson, farmer, residing near Martonj was found floating in the harbour, off Thorndon Esplanade, this morning. Deceased was about 45 years of age, and had been in town interviewing the Commissioner of Crown Lands re titles to land. As he had correspondence of yesterday's date in his pocket he could only have got in last night, but nothing is known as to how he got there. Matheson had, with his wife and family, been resident on Mrs Bhbdes' station, near Bulls. This Day. At the inquest to-day on B. Matheson, a yerdict of found drowned was returned. He was last seen alive at midnight on Tuesday. [Mr B. Matheson was employed at Heaton Park estate, where his family is at present. He had, however, taken up a section of land iv the Apiti Block, which he was preparing for occupation.]
