The following are the results of the principle events : — Handicap Hurdles, two miles and a quarter. — Yabba, 1 ; Montrose 11, 2 ; lxion, 3. Time, 4m. 245. Caulfield Grand National Steeplechase. — Busaco, 1 ; Beggar Boy, 2 ; School Boy, 3. Time, Bm. 335. There was quite a chapter of accidents, and the horse Fujujaman fell and broke his back. Two jockeys (Fallan and Eastharn) received concussion of the brain. Drednought has been scrached for both Melbourne and Caulfield Oups.
