Sentinel, 11-0 ; Caitiff and Captain Abrarn, 10-0; The Idler, Norton and Theorem, 9-0 also ran. Time, 3m. 4s. Dividend, L 5 11s. Hunt Club Cup Steeplechase, 60 soys ; two miles and a half. — Dan, 12-7 1; Mexico, 12-7 2; Encore, 10-10 3. Lyndora, 12-9 ; Begorrah, 12-2 ; Morok, 11-2; and Black Gin, 11-0 also ran. Time, 6m. 11s. Dividend, £Q 12s.
Open Steeplechase, of 100 soys. — Freeman, 11-5 1; Tauraekatai, 11-5 2 ; Waitangi, 10-0 3. Ahua, 12-0 ; Sentinel, 11-8; Kangaroo, 10-6; Christmas, 10-2; Oeo, 10-2; and Otaien also ran. Dividend, L3 6s 6d. August 17. Freeman, winner of the Grand National, was sold at auction today for 850. guineas. The purchaser is Dan O'Brien, who was greeted with the warm round of applause as the horse was led out of the ring.
