The quality varied greatly, and the bidding was irregular. .Beef ranged from 18s to 18s per lOOlbs ; for cows, tlie do round wus > indifferent at 12s 6d the lOOlbs. Fat wethers were in good demand ; those in wool made from 17s lid to 19* (3d ; ewes, 15s to 15s lid ; shorn wetliers, 12s 6d eaeli. ov equal to Ifiiperlb. Fal cattle made, per head, for l>ost sorts. £8 10s to £8 12s (id . others t:6 H>s i.o £7 loa ; inferior, £5 3s 6d to £5 I<i SJvi ; covvi, from £3 10s to £4 15s.
