Feilding Fire Brigade

We are indebted to Captain Morey for the following information in the subject , of the " One Man Competition" for Foreman Woolcott's, of the Wellington Fira Brigade, to take place on the 29th inst. The 1 conditions will be as follows : — Firemen to be seated upon engine, rear near side of hose box; caution will be given, " Are you ready ?" Fireman will open hose box and see 50ft hose and branch in proper place ; close the box. ■ At the word "Go" open hose bos with .right hapd, take qrft length of hose with left; spring down" clear of the engine after closing hose^ Box; knock off delivering cap; con«/._ ne'ct outer end of hose, allowing remainder to lie on the ground till he has completed his work round the engine, turn oyer for* ward near side lever, take out pole, release swing-bars, lock fore-earrage, turn over off-side lever, take out one length suction hose and connect ; turn oyer near side lever and unlock, levees, pushing down lever to show that the unlocking is complete, pick up coil of hose, place branch tinder left arm, run out" nose, -, seoure branch and when fixed place on the ground, throw up .arms, calling out "Bight." All loose joints, or irregular work or twists in hose will be counted as faults and time will be added for them. - '
