(PEB UNITED PEEBB ASSOCIATION.) Melboubne, July 14. The floods are subsiding. A large relief fund is being started for the benefit of the sufferers. July 15. It is difficult to estimate the damage caused by the flood in the Yarra, but it is fully a quarter of a million. A great deal of pillaging is going on in houses evacuated by the occupants. This Day. The fund for the relief of sufferers by the flood has reached the sum of £5,000. Owing to the deposit of slimy filth it is feared that unless great precautions are taken an epidemic of sickness will result. The latest estimate of the damage is half a million pounds. Sydney, July 15. Eailway communication with Melbourne has been resumed. The washaway extended over a length of 21 miles. The Murray is rising rapidly and floods in the Albury district are feared.
