Winter Meeting has been postponed until Tuesday. July 13. There is soarcely likely to be anyracing at Flemington for at least a week, owing to the ravages of the flood. Busaco is scratched for the GrandNational Hurdles, and. Goldpost for the Grand National Steeplechase. Wellington,- July 11. The following are the results of the Steeplechase Meeting held on the Hufct Bacecourse on Saturday last : — Hack Hurdle Handicap,- !£' miles.— Donovan, 1 ; Acolyte, 2 ; Corsair, 3. Eight others started. Time,. 3m; s£s, Dividend, £1 2s. - Wellington Steeplechase Handicap, of 200 soys. About three miles.—Whalebone f ; Oeo, + ; Darnley. 3. Oceola r Ahua, Kangaroo, Gladstone, Otaieri, Bough, and General Gordon also ran. Whalebone led to the straight, where Oeo challenged him, and a great race up the '_ straight ended in the judge declaring it a dead heat. Time, 6m. 54£s. Dividends —Whalebone, £6 6s ; Oeo, £2 19s. , Ladies' Trophy. — Jet d'Eau, 1 ; Kimberley, 2 ; Lenore,' 3. Norton, Reputation, and Waihi also ran. Time, 3m, 58s. Dividend, £8 Bs. In the United Hunt Steeplechase Meeting for which Mr Henry is handicapper, to be held at the Hutt on Saturday next, in the Open Hurdles, one mile and a half, Pyramus' weight is 11-8 ; and ,in - the Open Welter one mile and a quarter, 11-6.
