Three miles.' —Gonsalvo, 1"; Barmecide, 2; Padua, 3. . - Sydney, Jurie 14. At the AJ.C. Winter Steeplechase Meeting yesterday the Steeplechase re-, suited as follows : —Melton, 11; Caledonian, 2; Becruit, 3. The race was one of the best ever seen on'the course. Melton, won by a length. Time, 7min 24sec. Melboubnb, June 15. The following weights have been.allotted to the New Zealand horses in the two principle 1 events : —" Grand National Hurdle Each, » handicap sweepstakes of 20 boys each, 5 _ ft. with 1500 added.- About three miles. —Ahua, 12-3; Ixion, 12-0; Chemist, 11-7; Parnell, 11-5; Donald, 10-1; Wairna, 9-10; and Montrqse, 9-4. Jupiter was not handicapped. Gband National Steeplechase, a handicap sweepstakes of 20 sovg each, 5 ■ft. with 1500 added. .About three miles —Ahua, 12-12; Chemist, 12-8; Uranus, 10-4; and Peter Flat, 9-7. The handicapper awaits information from New Zealand before alloting weight to Mr Douglas* Jupiter.
