In the Sydenham licensing case Judge Denniston delivered a lengthy judgment restraining the Licensing Committee from refusing licenses of premises of the plaintiffs, or any of them, on the ground only that licensing such premises, or any of them, is, not required by a majority of the ratepayers. Leave to appeal was granted.
