For New Zealand wheat on passage, sellers are asking 42,3, but buyers, will not give more than 41s 6d. Canterbury mutton- 4£d; Wellington, mutton, 3§d ; Canterbury lamb, sd. Beef — Forequarters, 3fd ; hindquarters, s £. Hemp, fair quality, is quoted at £20 per ton, but there is no demand for it. June 7. Tallow — Medium .mutton, 27s 6d ; do beef, 25s 6d. Best Australian leather, 9d to 9id ; ox hides,' 3£d tb 3gd. Seven hundred pockets of grey Queensland sugar have been sold at 14s. At the Antwerp wool sales 5600 bales of River Plate wool were sold at prices equal to those ruling at the March sales. Two thousand three hundred and fifty bales of Australian wool were sold at prices equal, to those obtained at the last London sales. v The English wheat market is depressed, and business is almost at a standstill.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have re- / ceived the following cablegram from their London office, dated the sth June, namely — Talow. — Market slightly weaker. Fine mutton is worth 27s 6d, and good beef tallow, 26s 6d" per cwt. Frozen meat — mutton market quiet. Canterbury mutton is worth 4£d per lb. Lamb market quiet. Beef market dull. Quotations nominal,' and price has declined £d per lb since last report. Other quotations unchanged since last telegram.
