STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK BEPOST. Since our last report we have held two sales, __a.t^.Awahuri.:and _Wood. i rille./._th.e:: yards at either .place being well filled with cattle, about 400 coming -forward a& Awahuri and about 500 at Wobdville. We succeeded m quitting nearly everything at either place, at late rates. Mr Carhle's stock at Woodville being particularly well-bred were well competed for. Welquote: — Cattle.— Fat cows, £3 15s to £4 4s; store cows, £2 10s to £2; 3 and 4-year old bullocks, £4 to £4 10s; 3 year-old well-bred heifers, £3 os ; 2 -year old steers, £2 Ids to, £s ss; mixed yearlings, £1 8s to £1 15s ; Werners, £1 os. Sheep.— Pat wethers, los ; good lambs, 10s 6d; old ewes m lambs, 9s; woolly hoggets, 11s; store wethers, up to 14s.
