From information supplied by the census enumerator we find the population of the district between the Wangaehu and Waikanae rivers to be as follows : —
* Excluding the returns for the subdistrict of Wirikino, which are not yet in These are expected to amount to more than 500, giving a total for the whole of the four counties of about 22,000, qr an increse of 5,000 nnce 1886. '-
