Judge Edwards

(PER UNITED PEESS ASSOCIATION). Wellington. VI ay 6. The statement of claim in the Edwards' case was filed this morning. It sets out /that Edwards was not appointed in succession to or in substitution for any other judge, and goes on to pray that he be directed to show by what authority he acts as judge and that if he sets up the plea' of warrant from the Governor it may be cancelled, as it was issued illegally. An affidayit has also been filed that the case be removed from the Supreme Court to the Court of Appeal.
