Robbery at Wanganui
A robbery was committed at Upokongaro, on the Wanganui river, recently-by a well-known colored fighting man assisted by a speller who has just " completed a term." The victim * was a wellknown sporting squatter. The sum voted to themselves by the majority was over ,6200. ' ; " ' t (PKE UNITED JPBEBS ASSOCIATION). Wellington, This 3}aj, Harry Laing, a well (known pugilist, and a man named "William Noble, were arrested at Wanganui on a charge of stealing in notes from Joseph Abbott, at Upokongaro. The two accused have been remanded for seven days.
