(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) .New Plymouth, March 28. A settler named Frei, who was grind* ing blasting powder at Norinanby on Friiiay evening was seriously burned by an explosion which occurred. Oamarp. March 29. William Beattee, a station-. manager,, was found drowned in a lagoon in the town on Saturday. He had been missing, for about a week, and it is supposed he fell into the water. Dvsbtsis, March 29. David IVl'O'ea^y, .aged le. was ran orer at Bright n yesterday and- killed. He was walking along the . road, and got under the horses' feet. Chkistchttbch, This Day. A child named James McKay, aged 2^ years old, was drowned m a tub of water standing m a backyard yesterday. The mother and children were* on a yislfe there from Dipton, Southland.
