The ordinary' monthly meeting was held or Thursday last. .--Present — Messrs J. W. A., Marchant (Commissioner), W. A. Fiiznerbert, W. W. McCardle, 1 and D. H. Macarthur M.H.R. The following applications; to transfer were approved :— Section 44, block 6, Pohangina, from J. Corr (by public Trustee) to F. W; Scott ; section 75, block 9, Pohangina, from J. S. Harrison to W. H. M. Graham ; block 9, Pohangina, from G. Fraser to J. Johnston ; sections 126 and 127, blocks 14 Pohangina, and 4, Apiti, from : A. P. and C. E. Lindsay to G.-E. and A. Lindsay. In the following cases transfers were refused : — J. H. A. Brock, sections 34, 35, and 39, block 10, Ongo, to A. R. Cox ; T. Hogg, section 38, block 38, block, 11, Ongo, to A. R. Cox. Further enquiries were ordered to be made before granting the following applications to transfer : — G. Parr, section 1259, &c, Bunnythorpe, to H. Holland. The Board resolved— That W. J. M'Larin be allowed to convert section 16, block 15, Ongo, from the perpetual lease to the deferred payment system ; that a report be obtained from the Ra >ger with" regard to the application of Messrs Mowlem and Arbon to lease a part of the reserve in front of section 65, block 4, Pohangina ; that a report bo also obtained as to the facts of the case of T. Robinson, who applied for compensation for bushfelling done by him on Crown lands adjoining section 12, block 5, Apiti; tliatH. Law, who asked that section 4, block 11, Gorge, be reduced to 10s per' acre and wade second-class land, be informed that the Board has no power to comply with the request; that J.Cull be similarly informed. R. W. JSeii was allowed to substitute the nnine of E. Gladstone for that of J, O'Lillf as transferee of sections 68 and 72, block 6. Apili. D, S. Stewart wrote stating that he had "inadvertently selected two perpetual lease sections which did not adjoin each other, in ignorance that he was breaking the law, and it was resolved to cancel the lease of the Oroua U< ; al Creek section ■and recommend the refund of the deposit' and to open the land after' tea days, notice. r The Board adjourned until 4 p.m.
