• FEILDING JOCKEY CLUB. The Committee met last night at Mrs Oliver's Empire Hotel. The usual rouble work in the way of making appointuents for the ensuing race meeting was -one through. As the owner of Wairua iad not replied to the letter re refund of itakes, the Secretary was instructed to nake a second application, and it was mderstood that if Mr Scott did not make n-oinpt reply extreme measures would be idopted. Some mention was made of a letter vhich appeared in our columns signed ' Qui Vive," but the subject could not be jonsidered, as the Chairman ruled the sommunication should have been adIressed to the Secretary.
