Professor -Douglas' Archibald, M.A., is the lecturer, - 'and he explains the scientific value of the .machine, illustrations being given by the Aiid of the lime light. Mr W. A. Jinkins, .the manager, has arrived in town, and has made all the necessary arrangements y for .the coming performance, and considering the interest that has been shown ■regarding the phonograph since the inventionfirst became known, it may be safely •anticipated that there will be a crowded ' audience. The box plan is now open at ■Carthew's. We publish an inset from the ■company to-day.
