Mr J. G-. Blame, who has been in communication with KingHumberfc of Italy on the subject of the outrage, has asked him , to await the report which will ;be furnished by the Governor of Louisiana. The Mayor of New Orleans declares 1 that Parkinson, who is alleged to be the chief leader of the lynching party was quite right' in the action' taken. The New York newspapers reiterate ) the statement that the jury, was bribed, [ and state they have no doubt but that the Sicili ms were guilty of the crime on which the jury acquitted them. : Public sentiment in the States sustains the conviction felt in New Orleans that . the jury were corrupted. The President deplores the outbreak of popular feeling, fnd will take measures to prevebt further bloodshed. New Yohk. March 17.An Italian newspaper, published m this city, threatens that a million Italians, resident in the State of Louisiana, will organise vendettas with the- object of . having the foreman of the jury expelled from New Orleans. . i March 18. Seven hundred Italian, residents of New Orleans, have fled from the country, fearing further bloodshed. ■ ;: All those lynched at New' Orleans were.American citizens. ; '
