Mr Kirtoii was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous annual meeting and also the special general meeting were read and confirmed. The Secretary read his annual report, giving a brief resume of the Club's recordfor the past season, ;/]frhich was, as our readers are already aware, very successful indeed. The balance sheet showed, the receipts for the year at £35 3s 3d, and expeuditure at £33 4s Bd, leaving a balance of £1 8s 7d. Proposed by Mr Goodbehere, seconded by Mr B. Halcombe, That the annual report and balance-sheet be adopted. — Carried. The election of officers for the ensuing year was proceeded with and resulted as follows :— Patron, D. H. Macarthur, Esq., M.H.R. ; President, F. T. Lethbridge, Esq. ; Vice- Presidents, Messrs G. Kirton, J. Bartholomew, P. Bartholomew and W. L. Bailey ; Secretary and Treasurer, Jklr S. Strachan ; Captain, Mr R. Whisker; Deputy- Captain, Mr A. L. Parr; Managing Committee, Messrs C. Bray, Keightly, Henry, Graham, J. Whisker, Fowler, Donnelly, Hariner, Saywell, Giesea (fire to form a quorum) ; Match Committee — Messrs Saywell and Bray spoke on the benefits to be derived by having an outside committee to pick the teams, and so avoid any insinuations being made as to favoritism. After a little discussion Messrs Henry, Saywell and Bray were appointed. Proposed by Mr Halcombe, seconded by Mr; Keightly, That the annual subscription be fixed at 5s. — Carried. The Captain, Mr R. Whisker, informed the meeting that owing to his business requirements he would not be able to attend to the practices as he would like to do, but he would do his best to forward the interests of the Club, and he considered the Deputy-Captain would aid him to the best of bis abilities. Mr Henry was willing to give a- trophy for the best all-round player in the second fifteen team for the season. Mr Henry also promised the same gift last year, but as only a few matches were played by the' seconds it was deemed inadvisable to allot the trophy to any particular player. The Captain stated that the Marton. and Bulls Clubs were about to join the ,V1 anawatu Union, and in all probability a Junior Cup will be given' for the second, teams to compete for this season. This concluded the business.
