Wellington Land Board

The Wellington Land Board on Thursday approved of application to capitalise made by N. Charlton for Sec. 8, block 16, Ongo. Applications made by following to obtain titles were approved :— J. Kearins, Sec. 1582. Kairanga ; E. T. Harrison, Sec. 14 Ofoua, and H. Murray, Sec. 20, Apiti. Transfers were granted from H. Axup to F. Richards, and A. Davey to R. Speers for sections in Pohangina, from J. Brent to S. Strawbridge for section at Ongo. Ranger was ordered to report on application for transfer of section in Pohangina from T. J. Browne to E. T. Harrison, and it was decided to obtain a doctor's certificate and report as to improvements before dealing with transfer of section in Pohangina from J. S. Harrison to W. Hi M. Graham. Resolved to allow W. T. Ward to obtain title of section in Ongo ; that Board had no power to'allow time to effect improvements to J. R. Da vies on section at Ongo; that C.Carlson be allowed to take firewood from unsold sections in Levin on usual conditions ; that Mrs Hicks be asked when she can comply with residential condition on section 7, block 9, Apiti ; that Z. W. Hall must do the double improvements on sections held by himself and wife to exempt him from residence ; and that J. Rea be informed that he and his brother must comply with the Jaw by residing on small run section 20, block, 10, Apiti.
