Fighting in the Soudan

(pee peess association.) Sualim, Feb. 25. In the recent 'engagement between the Egyptian troops and the dervishes at Tikar the issue of the fight was in considerable doubt for a few minutes. A desperate charge by the Dervishes nearly out-flanked the Egyptians who saved themselves by successfully occupying the ruined houses at Takar before the Dervishes could do so. Eome, Feb. 25. Intelligence has been received that the Italian troops defeated six hundred Dervishes in an engagement at Aqualat, killing a general, two chiefs, and two hundred men.
