Woodville Freezing Works

Woodville, February 25. Grand indignation is expressed here at the obstacles alleged to be thrown by the Railway Commissioners in the way of the establishment of freezing works by Messrs Nelson Bros. It is proposed to get up a monster petition to Parliament on the matter. Wellington, This Day. The Railway Commissioners explain that the dispute' with Nelson Bros, is in connection with railway sidings, which the latter were to have at their works about to be erected a mile from Woodville Nelson Bros, desire trains to stop at the siding and the Commissioners object, contending that th6line could not be successfully worked with stoppages at suoh short intervals ; also that tbe public convenience would be interfered with. They are, however, willing and anxious that the Nelsons should carry their siding into the Woodville station yard.
