Monday, February 23. 1891. (Before Charles Bull and G. Kirton, Esqs., J.P.s.) Mary Watts was charged by Constable Tuohey with having no visible means of support: Sentenced to one j o ith's imprisonment in. Wanganui , ao . Thomas Doyle, charged with being drunk was fined 5s and 2s costs, with the alternative of twenty -four hours imprisonment. .The same accused was charged with trespassing on. the premises of Mr C. Seigel, at Makino, on Saturday last at 10.30 and refusing to leave when requested to do so. Mrs Seigel and her son, Lawrence Seigel, and Mr Fred. Pope proved the offence, and the prisoner was fined £5, or one month's imprisonment in Wanganui gaol, with hard labor. Doyle was also charged with using abusive and insulting language calculated to provoke a breach of the peace, and sentenced to pay a fine of 40s or in default 14 day's imprisonment in Wanganui gaol. Sentences to be concurrent. The Court then adjourned.
