Suicide of Mr Henry Bunny
I (PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) ' WELLiNaTON, February 16 f Inspector Thompson received a tele- , grata stating that Henry Bunny, the well \ known politician, shot himself dead in the . Town Board office, Eeatherston,yesterj Mr Bunny was formerly Provincial Secretary and Treasurer, and was a member of the House of Representatives for * many years. He shot himself with a re- * volver,: death being instantaneous. He 3 had been in a desponding state lately in 5 consequence of his defeat at the general ' election, and also felt the death of his old chief, Sir William Pitzherbert, keenly. The only particulars of Mr Bunny's death known so far are that he had refreshments in the hotel yesterday morning, then borrowed the key of the Council Chambers, sat in a chair ond shot himself I through the stomach. The inquest is , proceeding. ; This Day. The verdict in fhe Bunny 3uicide was [ temporary insanity.
