Ward, Postmaster-General, received a semi-public reception on ' his arrival from Wellington to-day ; and after an adjonrnnaent to the Club" Hotel, in returning thanks for the congratulatory remarks of the Mayor, he said he was proud to belong to such a Ministry, every rnein-. ber of which, save one, had risen from the ranks. He expressed a conviction that the present Government would bring down a satisfactory policy, but gave no indication of what it would be. ■
