Crackshot cut out the running at a very good pace for a mile, when Medallion closed with the leader, and passing him in a few strides had him beaten, and won by a length and a half, Leolantis, twenty lengths away, third. Time, 2min 45£ sec. A.R.C. Handicap, 1£ miles- -Strephon, 7-10, 1; Hilda, 9-6, 2; Dudu, 9-2, 3. Cissy, St Andrew, Leorina and Bay King also ran. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 46sec. January 2. Grandstand Handicap — Coalscuttle, 1 ; Dudu, 2 ; Strephon, 3. Diyideade, £40 18a and £48 19s. Sylvia Handicap— Rosefeldt, 1; Brown Bess, 2 ; Lady Belle, 3. Auckland Plate, l£ miles — Crackshot, 1 ; Medallion, 2 j Hilda, 3. Won easily by three lengths. Time, 2mm 47£ sec. Steeplechase, about 3£ milea — Orlando 1 ; Parnell, 2 ; Jenny, 3. Sir Garnet, Silvio, Asper and Takapua also ran. Won easily by 20 lengths, Jenny third a quarter of a mile away. Time, Bmm 59sec. Dividends, £3 16s and £5 Is.
