Pope Hennessey's candidature for Kilkenny North will act as agents at the election booths, and will march to the poll at the head ! of the voters. December 23. j The election for Kilkenny North is proceeding quietly, and the party under the leadership of Mr Justin McCarthy expect that their candidate, Sir J. Pope Hennessy will have a majority of one thousand. Sir J. Pope Hennessy was elected for Noith Kilkenny by a majouty of .146 over Mr Parnell's nominee, Mr Vincent Scully. Several branches of the Irish National League have determined to fake steps to have the control of the central branch of the League withdrawn from Dublin.
