TO-DAY'S EACES. OPENING OF THE NEW COUESE. (Tips by Mentor.) The Feilding Jockey Club hold their annual Hack Meeting on the new racecourse this afternoon, and I have not the •slightest doubt but that it will be a most pleasant and successful gathering. Ali arrangements to make the meeting a success have been resorted to, and what with such a good racing track and conveniences for the public in the shape of a grand stand and other improvements, I am certain they will thoroughly enjoy themselves. The horses engaged are, iv some races, of the be.it quality that can be found amongst " hacks," although I must say some of the cattle competing could be rnproved upon. As the Handicapper, Mr J. E. Henry, has concealed the winner so well in the handicap events, I am rather dubious in forcecasting the results, but the following are, I consider, the " best goods " : — Handicap Hurdles, 2 miles.
