In the Supreme Court James Henry Wilson and Frederick liemiagton, charged with the robbery of £01 from the Savings Bank, were found guilty iind sentenced to three years' imprisonment each. Napier, December 5. A furious westerly gale was blowing last night. The ship Rangitikei parted her cable at midnight and was blown to sea. She fouled the ship Balclutha, carrying awayjpart of her bulwarks. The steamer Matatua went after her this morning, and the Rangitikei is now sailing back to the roadstead. Gisbobne, This Day. An elderly man named Sampson Johnston remained at Ormond till late drinking. After the election he left for home on a frisky horse, and was picked up this morning dead, from concussion of the brain.
