A small supply of fat cattle came forward, some of which were moderate in all respects, and also one line of aged and prime bullocks. An easier tendency pre« vailed, the larcer sorts being relatively tower than the other. A large muster of sheep were penned, almost all the entries being shorn ones, and these included some fine specimens from H<*at<m Park and the Waireka estate. These from the latter were " got up " in Mr Itobertson's usual artistic manner, one pen making the top figure of the day. Pigs were in abundance, but were dull of sale, wirh the exception of the few baconere penned. Those were oh a par with late rates. Cattlb. — Large bullocks, £'6 12s 6d to £7 2s 6d ; others, £5 6» to £5 10. Shkkp. — Prime shorn wethers, 13s 7d to 13s 9<J ; others, Us 4d to 12s 9d ; those in wool, 16s ; shorn ewes, 9s to 11s 4d. Ox beef 14t to 15s the lOOlbs ; shorn wether mutton 2d per lb. (For continuation of Reading Matter see fourth page.)
