Proposed by Mr Williamson, seconded by Mr Lucas, That the engineer call for tenders for completing the metalling on the Cheltenham Crossroad from Simpson's corner to Benson's read; — Carried. Tenders were opened for work on Tai-puae-liue and for Coulters-line, but were &11 considered too high It wag therefore resolved, That the engineer get the work on CoulterVs road done, cost not to exceed £30, and that he be also authorised to arrange as to felling" the Taipuae line as £2 p r acre. Proposid by Mr Ward, seconded bj Mr Lucas, f hat if J. C.
