Feilding School Committee
"The usual monthly meeting of the above committee was held at the school louse last evening. Present — Messrs F. Y. Lethbridge (chairman), W. Watts <secretary), Gould, Worsfold and Curtis. Mr "Worsop, acting head teacher, reported that the attendance for the last month was — Boys, 136 ; girls, 93 ; total, 229. On the roll, 355; average'attendance for the last Quarter, 230. Various accounts were passed for payment Amongst the correspondence read was ■a letter ftom the acting head teacher!, pointing out the want of necessary repairs to the school. This matter was left to the visiting committee. Messrs Watts and Curtis were appointed a visiting school committee. The question of the low attendance at -the school being discussed, Mr Worsfold proposed, and Mr Curtis seconded, That •Constable Tuohey be asked to act as l'ruant Inspector for the Feilding school. -—Carried. The meeting then adjourned.
