Wkstpobt, Sept. 23, At the Resident Magistrate's Court today, Patrick Fitzsimmons, formerly donkeyman on the Orowaiti, was charged with assaulting the second mate of the Herald when on the voyage between Wellington and Westpqrt ; also on twocharges of assaulting the steward of the Mawhera when ashore here. Fitzeimmons was a passenger by the Herald, he being a Union man. The accused wa* fined JEI3 19b in all, with costs or seven weeks. The money was paid* .
