The Feilding Hunt Club

A meeting of the stewards of the aboye was held in. Mrs Hastie's Hotel on Saturday last. . Present — Mr Saxon (President), Messrs Goodbehere- (secretary), Kirton, Lance, Clissold, N. Charlton, Lovejoy and Boake. The following balance sheet of the steeplechase meeting was read and adopted:

Resolved, That the Huntsman be paid, from the date of the return of the pack from Wellington, until further notice, the sum of £2 per week. On the motion of Mr Kirton, seconded by the President, Mr Saxon, both of whom spoke in the highest terms of the valuable work done by the Secretary, and his never failing attention to the duties of the position, the sum of £10 10s was voted Mr E. Goodbehere. Mr Goodbehere, in reply, while thanking the Club, said the work had been a labor of love with him, and any remuneration whatever was entirely unexpected. After some formal business was transacted the meeting adjourned.
